Overview

Nacogdoches Gastroenterology PLLC is proud to offer patients the new, catheter-free, Bravo™pH System, used to measure esophageal pH levels in patients who are experiencing or suspected of having gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). During a test with the Bravo System, a small capsule (about the size of a gelcap) is temporarily attached to the wall of the esophagus. Throughout a 24 or 48-hour study period, the capsule transmits pH data through radiotelemetry to a pager-sized receiver worn by the patient and analyzed by Dr. Jones. Bravo is a revolutionary system and represents a new standard in care to minimize discomfort caused by trans-nasal catheters.
